Dieting is a serious endeavor that requires conscientious effort and dedication. Starting from adopting a healthy lifestyle, with nutritious and adequate diet, regular exercise, leading a stress free life would prove beneficial to not only our health but would also keep heart palpitations after eating, to a lesser extent. In most cases, palpitations have a very benign origin, and nothing more than a thorough history and physical examination and perhaps some basic blood lab work is needed. Your doctor may order certain tests or refer you to a cardiologist who may order additional tests such as: blood and urine tests, electrocardiogram (EKG), stress test, chest x-ray, echocardiogram (heart ultrasound), and a heartbeat monitoring test called an ambulatory cardiac monitor.
